welcome to lisa McCoy photography!

My name is Lisa McCoy (as you can guess)! My husband Aj and I live in Alanson of Northern Michigan. We enjoy camping and road trips. We make sure to find all the hidden gems Michigan has to offer on the way. During Michigan summers we love being on, or in, the water. Kayaking is a personal favorite of ours. Although, I think my happiest place is walking alongside the ocean — I can’t describe how it makes my heart feel to be there! Aj and I enjoy trying new craft beers from all around the state. I always have a bottle of champagne in the fridge while Aj is always trying different kinds of scotch. Hence the names of our wedding packages.

My love for photography started as a child watching my Aunt Linda while she worked. That’s when my love for capturing the perfect candid shot took root. Something about the click of the shutter, the flash of the light and the freshness of a newly printed photo have always allured me. I've been using the gorgeous landscapes of Northern Michigan for photographic inspiration since 2008. Since then, I’ve taken classes and earned certificates to further my knowledge so I can bring you the best photographs. Today, I offer a wide variety of services ranging from lifestyle shoots, family portraits, engagements, maternity sessions all the way to weddings!
